In hearing the local baseball leagues that have already announced they are reopening, knowing how many teams they have, I truly wonder: have they fully reviewed and ready to implement the CDC and state minimum safety protocols?

I don’t mean big organizations, but the small leagues (like us, 20 or so teams) who have a league governing board of ~5 people.
Taking temperature before every game and practice? Enforce one parent only for a practice with distancing? Cleaning the dugout?
What about shared bats? What about the notification to parents and players to avoid contact with people 65+ for 14 days after any practice or game? Let’s ignore our volunteers in that age group (including my assistant coach).
I love having my girls play baseball. That’s why I spend so much time giving them (and the community) a good environment to learn and play sports with the associated character building.
In short, looking at the risk calculus, seeing that these practices aren’t yet regular, and the overall benefit of youth sports, it doesn’t past muster for me.
