Goals Recap: 2015Q1

The first quarter of the year has passed and, in an effort of accountability, let’s recap what progress I’ve made on my goals for this calendar year.

Complete a Marathon ????

This isn’t going to happen.  I signed up for the Austin Marathon, but the training schedule was completely derailed. I ended up running two half-marathons (3M and Austin), nevertheless, not the full. I could try to make it happen later in the year, but realistically, need to push it forward to another year.

Attend a Spiritual Retreat ????

Scheduled for this quarter.

Post 100 Blog Posts ????

I needed 25 by this point of the year. I’ve posted 32.

Redesign brandonkraft.com to better showcase my overall web presence ????

This is a work in progress. The site started with Twenty Fifteen and recently moved to a Genesis child theme. I’m not happy yet.

Reach 500 unique beers per Untappd ????

Currently, I have 456 and on the schedule to attend the next Beer Bloggers Conference. No foreseen problems.

Present at 3 Conferences ????

I gave the keynote at WordCamp San Antonio in January and on the schedule to speak at the Beer Bloggers and Writers Conference this summer. One more, but nothing on the radar.

Disconnected Weekend ????

Not yet and no planning for it. This will likely have to take place near the end of the year so the twins are older.

Every Other Month Daddy Date ????

I’m behind. I’ve done one in the last three months—an afternoon/evening out that concluded with the school’s Daddy-Daughter Dance.

Increased Bike Usage ????

A wash. I’ve traveled to the coworking place by bike all except one trip, but yet to do so for small grocery runs, which are the two most-traveled destinations intraneighborhood. With the weather improved, this should be better here on out.

Conclusion

3 goals I am doing poorly on completing.
5 goals I have not yet met but on track.
1 goal I’ve reasonably made no progress toward, but that’s okay.

A very technical system in place, though I’m sure it’ll improve over time. Until next quarter’s recap…
