This may be a bad take, but I’m more and more against opinion sections of news outlets.

    Like the Tom Cotton mess with the @nytimes. They’re damned either way. NY Times does some great journalism, but plenty of their opinion pieces are painful. I have people in my TL rejecting research using NYT-collected public health data b/c “NYT!”.

    Maybe they served purpose once, but we have the Internet. There are entire sites dedicated to opinion. Have the news outlets be the news outlets. Let quality opinion live elsewhere. Bonus points for a NYT/WaPo/NPR level of quality in a site that publishes opinion from diff sides.
