@MarkDrovdahl I dropped Hangouts to use Messages for the Web. My experience of Hangouts on my phone was just too damn slow. I’ve been happy enough with Messages, except for not working when my phone is off.

It sounds like they are making changes to Messages for the Web to handle both.
