@williamsba Definitely open up a core trac issue. We released new versions, but the deployment was all from the Core side. In our case, instead of leaving older versions without an option besides updating to 9.8, we shipped 78 new versions of points for every version since 2.0.x.

    @williamsba From the Jetpack side, we had no role or awareness of overriding any settings on the Core side.

    I would have expected filters, etc should have prevented it from going out.
