@jason_coleman @williamsba Basically, except this is the standard procedure for security updates that are deemed serious enough. But that’s rarely invoked. Maybe a dozen times since 3.7 shipped which made it possible (IIRC)

    @jason_coleman @williamsba To be honest, I was hoping they would say it didn’t need to be backported. 78 patched versions is no joke. But also why I’m glad an unbiased third-party made the call and not me.
