@CatBird99099423 Yeah, we were pregnant with our second and didn’t realize that, at the time, zero self-purchased insurance plans in TX covered maternity. We had insurance yet it covered nothing for my wife—only the baby, once she was born.

    @CatBird99099423 It did wipe meager savings at the time and took us a long time to financially recover. I’m 100% against abortion, but I can appreciate how situations like that would be damning for too many people no matter the legality of abortion. ACA fixed that particular problem…

    @CatBird99099423 but the overall issue of access to quality, affordable healthcare… Gotta solve that. I would like to see PP closed personally, but we have to think about the whole system. Which isn’t what the Republicans seem open to doing.
