@ItsJonnyWang @KirstenHeffron @AStreetTherapy @DodgerScot I think a lot of people treat “works” as a strict binary thing. Vaccines reduce risk, doesn’t eliminate it.
Additionally, the more a virus spreads, the more it has chances to mutate. Those mutations can escape vaccines.

@ItsJonnyWang @KirstenHeffron @AStreetTherapy @DodgerScot While the vaccines are still really effective against Delta, early reports suggest Delta is different in vaccinated folks compared to the original and other variants.
Imagine if the mutations continue to the point of the current vaccine being ineffective? Back to square one.
