@FrHilderbrand @SteveMissionary Without consideration of what a modern subdiaconate would look like, personally, if the new attention to these installed ministries mean that more lay people in the pews may have better formation toward those ministries is interesting to me.

    @FrHilderbrand @SteveMissionary Like each parish having an increasing number of well-trained installed lectors that can help train the extraordinary lectors (is that the right term?)

    @FrHilderbrand @SteveMissionary And not just train but help lead lectoring as a ministry. It could be really interesting.

    Or it could be just something half-ass or ignored in most dioceses. Even with installed ministries people open to lay people, how many dioceses in the US have non-seminarian acolytes?
