I know, intellectually, that this storm wasn’t going to be as bad as last year’s. Things like the gas generation part of the state would be decently warmer (10°+) than last year, etc.

It’s going to take more than a couple storms to shake off that feeling. I would imagine it is, in some small way, like New Orleans after Katrina? Even if we know the hurricane isn’t as strong or as bad, everyone is keeping their eyes on the levees.
