I am not wading into the conversation regarding WordPress, WP Engine, or any players. I’m too close, yet I know nothing about this. I have nothing valuable to add; frankly, I don’t have the bandwidth to develop deep enough knowledge to provide anything useful.

I’m sitting in a virtual information session for a school district program with over 80 people on the call. They just invited us to go off mute to share something. Thankfully, everyone on the call understood the assignment and no one did.

Apparently, there was an earthquake in West Texas yesterday evening that some in Austin reported feeling. It would have been in the midst of getting the kids to bed so I doubt I would have felt it even if my home was the epicenter.

While my primary bank has been a local credit union for awhile, I’ve kept my account at Wells Fargo for various things. But, they changed the way they determine waiving monthly service fees so am now being hit by $25/month fee. I’ve had a deposit account at Wells Fargo since 1993—originally at a local bank…

My five-year-old: “[Her sister] just gave me a look like I was about to go to the bathroom, be in there a long time, use a lot of toilet paper, and leave without flushing.” I feel like I’m missing context here.

Political grievances should not have violent means of resolution. I’m glad today’s incident ended without any injuries or loss of life.
