@AdGalliam @jdflynn There are a lot of considerations before that occurs. Needs to be a situation where there is imminent grave concern and no time for priests to hear confession. Even then, one must go to confession as soon as the situation is no longer imminently grave.

@AdGalliam @jdflynn I think there is some history for a general grant of absolution, but the expectation is still an in-person event (e.g. priest granting general absolution to a firehouse of firefighters on their way to the Twin Towers).
