@TomsDigest @PhilHellene1960 @syriac_enjoyer @AmishCatholic I like Benedictine spirituality (I’m an OSB oblate novice after all), but a strict reading and application of the RB is outdated IMO. RB isn’t scripture and I do personally wish the OSB tradition allowed for some evolution of the Rule. In practice, it does obvs, but the text too.
