@eyegar TBH, the catechists are alright. Not perfect but trying their best. I’m most likely to want to help there. It is the policies that so so painful.
@eyegar Start in 1st grade? Need two years and get first communion only. Start in 2nd? Two years—get first communion and confirmation. Have to attend weekly parent classes (which are randomly cancelled without notice). Oh the weekly classes are for parish kids, school kids don’t have to.

@eyegar Have mandatory retreat. Parents have to come. It’s just a four hour version of the weekly class. Requirements are randomly communicated etc etc etc etvt

@eyegar Only tangential related but my favorite is that the baptismal prep class that we took for the twins wouldn’t count for Ruth because it expires after three years and it was four years.
