@JenBrooks727 @FrMatthewLC Plenary indulgence isn’t the same as absolution and isn’t a sacrament.

That said, the decree offering the indulgence notes that one should have “the will to fulfill” the usual conditions (Eucharist/Confession) as soon as possible.

    @JenBrooks727 @FrMatthewLC In today’s situation, “as soon as possible” would, I submit, need to be read pretty permissively and fulfilling the criteria as soon as one is able once, basically, churches reopen, but there isn’t a calendar period attached to that, whereas normally seen as being within 7 days.

    @JenBrooks727 @FrMatthewLC tbh, I don’t recall where 7 days comes from. The norms for indulgences just says “several days preceding or following” the indulgenced action. That’s besides the point 🙂
