March 13th. @AustinISD closed that day after the first confirmed positive cases were announced ~4 am. That evening we had a baseball board meeting that decided we’d plan on taking the first two weeks of the season off, to pick back up March 28th. twitter.com/OMaraRules/sta…

Since, of course, it would be fine by then to play baseball.
Also, that meeting was the last time I shook a person’s hand. Did it out of habit and realized as soon as I did it that it wasn’t the right move during a pandemic.
