JJJ mentioned the difference between automatic and forced updates.

Both have been possible since 3.7, but the UI wasn’t in place for automatic updates until recently.

    @TheCre8tiveDiva @jeffr0 @JJJ @perezbox @williamsba @webdevstudios @jetpack Having the UI setting turned to off is the same as the status quo between 3.7 and when the UI was added.

    You can fully disable automatic updates via a couple constants or filters. See this tweet, the next in the thread, and the link in code. mobile.twitter.com/Kraft/status/1…
