@richardmtl @BumpyNUX That’s also why Austin’s minor league baseball team is in the suburbs. Voters wouldn’t approve a downtown, lakefront location in the 90s. Would have been cool but agreed, there’s better land use for Austin.

El Paso has their team downtown…

    @richardmtl @BumpyNUX but it fronts a major Union Pacific train yard which wouldn’t have been good residential space. Austin doesn’t have anything like that which would justify that kind of infra downtown.
