@MWZH1 @mattlargey My earlier point covered that partially. The science has overall pointed to effectiveness of masks (various degree of various types). It’s notable the absolute lack of flu this last year.

    @MWZH1 @mattlargey The rain dance analogy fails in that there is zero effectiveness of a rain dance.

    Maybe you’re right, but it is a better proposition with the current circumstances to play the card that results in the least harm if wrong.

    @MWZH1 @mattlargey That said, the research does indicate so far that masks are effective so it isn’t just a blind proposition either.

    My earlier point stands that if people masked earlier during a season, that would be a notable experiment. It may be seasonal but doesn’t mean masks are pointless.
