I am not a ACAB guy. I think police do serve a vital role.

That said, there are about ~1900 APD officers. In 2017, APD said about 6 OIS per year (see austintexas.gov/page/officer-i… ).

56% they killed the person.

    Without looking at the details of either case, it raises a huge red flag to me for deep investigation if a single police officer kills 2 people in less than a single year when the force-wide average is 3 people per year.
