@LordScavamungus @scottbraddock Within a courtroom, the Attorney General can be referred to a “General”. Outside of that, no. He’s not a general. He’s the general attorney for the state, as opposed to being a specific attorney for some purpose.

The Surgeon General is similar, though they actually can be an adm

    The SG is in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and hold the rank of vice admiral. But they’re never “General So-and-So”.
