We were visiting a different league which very strictly enforces the rules. My registration as a coach wasn’t complete so I was DQ’d.

Ended up having one coach for 12 4-6 YOs. The other coaches proposed & we agreed 3 out/5 run end of half-inning. LO overruled during game.

Other things like that kept happening. We’ve fielded a catcher (remember tee ball) without a chest guard and he rejected her.

Which is totally right per rules. She needed a chest guard but last game of season & zero teams used a chest guard. Okay.

He gets into an argument with a grandmom about why he benched the kid. Son didn’t like the guy getting closer to the mom. Apparently words.

He calls the cops and ejected the kid and the entire family. They go across the street. Cops come. Say “well they left. We’ll hang out”

Apparently, the league official wasn’t happy with that and called the game. Tee ball.

I’m only in my first season. I would expect the league official to talk to the coach and let the coach handle parents and fans. Maybe not?

Then the gates to the visitor dugout were immediately locked while the other team played around for another 10-20 minutes on the field.

The fan on our side should have backed down totally. But, still can’t believe how it all went down.

I’ll all about rules. It would have been nice if that league’s coach knew them too and if he enforced them on them too.

Little stuff like he got on us for the next batter touching a bat while the other team had two standing holding bats.

Anyhow, still enjoyed this season a lot. We’ll put together a scrimmage next week to give the kids a better last memory of the season. /end

I don’t have the details but apparently the guy ensured the kid is suspended so she can’t play at our “let’s end on a good note” game.

The kid. Even if the adults involved weren’t there, she’s out. I can’t fathom this.

Our “let’s end the season on a better note” game went fantastic today. So much fun, last game on the field’s schedule so we just kept playing until the kids gave out. I think everyone made at least one solid play, everyone got to base. Just what tee ball is supposed to be.
