@fleetingftw Even a couple hours ago, it felt a little early to close the baseball fields tonight. We did, but kinda assumed it will be like the other times we close just because of a forecast—we get nothing and would have been a beautiful night to practice.

@TomsDigest @PhilHellene1960 @syriac_enjoyer @AmishCatholic I like Benedictine spirituality (I’m an OSB oblate novice after all), but a strict reading and application of the RB is outdated IMO. RB isn’t scripture and I do personally wish the OSB tradition allowed for some evolution of the Rule. In practice, it does obvs, but the text too.

I appreciate that, technically, there is no legal duty here. But this is a clear case where minimum duty is insufficient justification. @austintexasgov @MayorAdler should make this right, including providing identify theft tools. twitter.com/AleshireLaw/st…
