Actual immigration policy aside, the ways DHS have used raids and lied about them. Hatch Act meaning literally zero. Separation of powers shredded. Even if I agreed with every policy, this isn’t how we’re supposed to do it. #uspol

I’m not talking policy. There will be differences. It’s the increasing total disregard for the rule of law or decorum. It’s the unabashed targeting of any political “enemy” with the American people as collateral damage.

I’m not a Democrat. I’m a member of a third-party (former county chair!). It blows my mind how far the Republican Party has fallen or how unashamed they are of it. #uspol

My in-laws just dropped off their Christmas Card. Their 2024 Christmas Card. It’s been later and later each year—Valentine’s, then Easter, then summer. Pretty soon, they’re going to make the whole cycle.

I don’t like my birthday. It’s like any other day, except if something crummy happens, it feels worse since “it’s my birthday”.

While there are aspects I could critique, AISD’s plan makes a lot of sense. I don’t envy being in this position and I appreciate there’s no painless way to move forward. #atx
