News sources are reporting that the Pontiff was given Last Rites. Usually, this is different than the Anointing of the Sick. The sacrament is given to any and all who are ill while Last Rites is the Anoiting with various other rites, including a plenary indulgence granted to the dying. It also can include a sacramental confession and viaticum, or a form of reception of Holy Communion for the dying.
