A reading from the Catechism of the Catholic Church
Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory Be…
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
Father,
in your wise and loving care
you made your servant, John Paul II, Pope and teacher of
all your Church.
He did the work of Christ on earth.
May your Son welcome him to eternal glory,
where he lives and reigns with your for ever and ever. Amen.

Hey Brandon! Your comment box in the post above wasn’t working, but I have a question. If the pope had named a pectore cardinal secretly, did that person know he was named? With the passing of the pope, since there is no name in his will, does this person continue to be an “in pectore” cardinal?? Or does the Vatican’s statement that there is “no further question” mean that it never happend??

Hey, your comments don’t work on the post above “conclave date set”, in any case, so what happens with the in pectore cardinal??? I mean, if at a later time his country becomes safe for his naming and open forum, then how is the church to verify his true claim?? Man, that’s tough
