This morning, the New York Times broke the story of horrible sexual abuse by Cesar Chavez. By the afternoon, Austin’s parade in his honor was cancelled and city leaders are calling to rename Cesar Chavez Street.

Sounds right to me.

We should also stop naming things after people until, say, 50 years after their death.
