I’ve been down for the count for about the last week with an upper respiratory infection that advanced to pneumonia. In addition to not being to do my share of the work, I’m just sad not to be able to hold Ruth. The twins both caught RSV at a month old and had to be hospitalized. I’d really like her to avoid that, even if I can only love her from afar for now.

You never know how sisters will respond to a new one. D has taken “ownership” of Ruth, often calling her “my baby” as often as she says “my baby sister”. D won’t leave my side when I have Ruth and always runs to be the one helping. Here is her pulling up a chair to talk to her while I prepare a bottle
