@stacykvernmo I have Ctrl-F13 or something (one of the ones only on the full-size keyboard) and the one next to it as “start work” and “stop work”. Opens slack, code editor, Basecamp, etc. Weekly when my local wifi it will run updates to my dev environments/VMs/testing servers via terminal

@stacykvernmo The stop work one closes everything. Personal lifehack I found is I “check something real quick” far less often after signing off for the day if that check requires me to re-open an application.
