Today’s order by #atx mayor, gatherings of 250+, inclusive of religious gatherings, are banned until May 1. I’m really interested in seeing how this plays out. #AustinTx #COVIDー19
The announcement included Travis County with the County Judge issuing a similar order. I assume identical but I haven’t read it.

I’m interested in the case law re the mayor banning religious gatherings of 250+. It seems like, at face, a violation of the first amendment but I know there is plenty of legal precedent in extraordinary times to forget about some of these rights (Japanese internment camps…)
