@Bfadair @karensue30 @dbongino It’s just a confusing title. They are the “county judge”. In some counties their role includes *also* a “judicial” role, but a lot of counties have a “county court-at-law” with its own judge to relieve the county judge of judicial duties.

    @Bfadair @karensue30 @dbongino Harris County (being the home to Houston) have a separate county court-at-law so the county judge is simply the elected chief executive.
