@KathyM19828574 @trowaman @mattlargey Daily tests for Travis Cty is not on their dashboard. Data from the state, reported by @GregAbbott_TX, indicated that the rate of positive cases is increasing faster than our testing. We should test enough to keep the positivity rate around 5%. It’s 9.5%, up from 4.5.

@KathyM19828574 @trowaman @mattlargey @GregAbbott_TX Hospital admissions due to COVID, number of those in the hospital with COVID, and the number of those in the ICU with COVID are all spiking, both at the state and local level. https://t.co/dEvPcIQosY

@KathyM19828574 @trowaman @mattlargey @GregAbbott_TX Hospitalizations has been a better metric to follow long-term over new cases, since yes, testing capacity early was restricted, so only more severe cases (e.g. admitted to the hospital for example) were tested.

So, throwing out new cases, the numbers are still trending poorly.
