@KathyM19828574 @trowaman @mattlargey @GregAbbott_TX Hospital admissions due to COVID, number of those in the hospital with COVID, and the number of those in the ICU with COVID are all spiking, both at the state and local level.

    @KathyM19828574 @trowaman @mattlargey @GregAbbott_TX Hospitalizations has been a better metric to follow long-term over new cases, since yes, testing capacity early was restricted, so only more severe cases (e.g. admitted to the hospital for example) were tested.

    So, throwing out new cases, the numbers are still trending poorly.
