@mgearthman The underlying thing there is Texas only reports lab-confirmed cases, which isn’t the case everywhere. When comparing Texas to other states, that is a delta that could make Texas look better if the data was apples-to-apples.

Using the excess death data will be notable.

    @mgearthman But, really, need to look at that at a higher level and after the fact. Can’t use that for day-to-day measure of the situation.

    So, the report is probably accurate, though how they frame it, etc is always up to debate if it is actually helpful.
