@NanHouston1 @jdflynn I’ve never met a bishop who didn’t disagree with any pope on *something*, yet they still are in communion with each other.

Likewise the discussion did make this that this vote to write a document would not be a policy declaration.

    @NanHouston1 @jdflynn It’s going to be about the same thing as the 2006 Eucharist doc from the USCCB with a bit more thrown in about how we need to discern if we are in a good state to go to communion and those in public life should consider their political stances as part of that.

    @NanHouston1 @jdflynn And donuts to dollars it will be worded so that it would equally apply to D and R (and Q) politicians. But the Rs will ignore it except to call out the D and more progressive Catholics will continue to rightly call out how hypocritical so many R politicians are.
