There are some legit concerns about where this type of work could lead. Do I need to see cross-referenced info that my pastor had a few more drinks than I’d consider proper via Untappd data or something? No.

    But, in tech, there is a lot of conversation about privacy, data use. Folks like the @EFF working toward better privacy and data use rules.

    While I think this particular case has context, generally, it does go to show what many Americans are ignorant of: your phone is a snitch.
