I’m allergic to betadine, It presents as hives at and near the application site.

I haven’t tried to gargle it.

In any event, it’s an antiseptic. Not an antiviral and not something that would improve immune response.

I exposed myself once when a kid had a bad cut. That sucked.

    Needless to say, I made sure the antiseptic pads in our first aid kits aren’t iodine-based after that incident.

    Either way, betadine really really hurts for me to use. The vaccine was easier.
