@marcairhart @meganmmenchaca @UTAustin IIRC, Omicron is notable that a PCR test can pick up the difference between generic COVID and Omicron. This hasn’t been true for the other varients or all the other variants at least.

With the other variants, we didn’t know if it was detected until the gene sequencing.
