Looking at the NCHS data from 2019, about 7,800 people died in the U.S. each day.

We’re at about 1,500 deaths per day attributed to COVID-19.

Just want to pause for a moment and acknowledge that Omicron wasn’t mild for these families. My heart goes out to y’all in your grief.

And I don’t want any replies about vaccines or anything else here. I still feel for families when someone dies when not wearing a seatbelt. Taking just a moment to acknowledge their loss.
