@TomsDigest “special existence* as a poor quick way of saying the Real Presence as compared to Jesus is everywhere comment. Yes, Jesus is everywhere but there is also a particular difference in the Eucharist.

Also going to separate simple adoration and exposition…

    @TomsDigest You can adore while it is reserved in the Tabernacle but I presume we’re both referring to exposition. To me, that’s an intentional presentation meant for specific adoration. I don’t have the words to say it in fancy terms but the same reason the Tomb of the Unknown is…

    @TomsDigest always guarded. If he is going to be exposed, someone should be there. Nothing to do with reservation.

    @TomsDigest Should we treat exposition and adoration as “shift work”, that’s a different question and one that I think is valid. In the campus ministry I worked at, we did a weekly set two-hour exposition that always had dozens at, but the tabernacle was designed so the doors open…

    @TomsDigest If an individual or group wanted to adore and see the Host. If they were done, close the little door. No big deal.
