@The_GreatVoid @frpatrickop @BackwardsFeet It depends on place. Some are actual parishes (either territorial or personal), some are simply ministries that have no parish-like canonical structure, some are basically quasi-parishes that are treated like a parish in many, many ways.

    @The_GreatVoid @frpatrickop @BackwardsFeet In the Diocese of Austin, Texas A&M’s is a parish that specially includes the A&M campus, Mary-Hardin Baylor is a ministry, UT-Austin is not a canonical parish but treated similar (doesn’t store records, but you can register, Diocese sets goals for collections, etc).

    @The_GreatVoid @frpatrickop @BackwardsFeet So, A&M are actually parishioners in every way, Mary-Hardin Baylor are part of whatever parish, UT-Austin still have technical parishioner status elsewhere but are treated as parishioners of the Catholic Center for anything non-judicial.
