  • @jdflynn I remember “Homicide” on NBC would have a whiteboard where they listed the closed cases in black, open cases in red. I appreciated that there were always red cases that we never saw on screen. Just a tiny bit to say “you’re only seeing the TV version of their day”.

  • Bottom: My contacts software lets me put in various events. I have my dad in my contact list because, I don’t know, it still feels wrong to “delete” him. Top: Google Calendar’s UI apparently can tell “died:” is a prefix, but misses the mark on parsing it.
