@jdflynn In an inpatient situation, perhaps. There are plenty of lifesaving medicine situations where, as an outpatient, you simply can’t get it without paying a ton or the insurance covering.

It’s amazing that the CDC has been able to unify the country. Any mention on my timeline is universally anti-CDC. Everything from “everyone fired b/c of CDC vaccine guidelines should get their job back” to “CDC is probably okay with licking toilets if you get to work on time.”

@NPR All things equal, sure, I’d rather him not drop f bombs in public. But this was not a Clayton Williams moment. (In 1990, as R gov candidate, he dropped a rape joke… Thunderstorms are like rape, when you know they’re coming, relax and enjoy. That tanked him, Ann Richards won).
