Social Notes

Short posts that are often pushed to social media (a.k.a. tweets).

  • @ChrisWiegman @ShawnHooper Nod. I was spoiled by the Snooze features of Inbox, so went to Spark. But, I like and want to support @ProtonPrivacy. I gave up on keeping e-mail organized beyond a YYYY-MM folder to fake a Snooze feature on Proton.

  • @ChrisWiegman @ShawnHooper I’m weird and use all the clients. Gmail/Proton native web UI for certain things, Thunderbird for others, Spark on mobile for other usages. In short, none of them really hit the mark, but together, they get the job done.

  • @JoelGratcyk Even as a rounding error for the Feds, they can spread it over a few years as things naturally need to be replaced. Recycling bin decals don’t have to be immediately replaced ya know. Police cars are probably going to be replaced in a couple years anyways etc.

  • @TBoneChoice @FrMatthewLC @BackwardsFeet In some places, it’s ignored. It was in Austin until norms came out that required a church treat anyone either living in their boundaries or registered as a parishioner (e.g. “parishioner rate” for using church for a wedding). Parish finder on the diocesan site includes it now.

  • RT @WillHurd: Saying someone “weaponized’ the Justice department to investigate potential crimes is like saying someone weaponized the fire…

  • @BackwardsFeet Archdiocese of Indianapolis keeping half of Spencer County so St. Meinrad’s Archabbey didn’t go to Evansville.
