@stevegrunwell @topher1kenobe But there are still a lot of Confederate memorials around Texas (not even the deep south!) so I imagine a lot of schools framed it poorly.

@stevegrunwell @topher1kenobe To be honest, I can’t recall much of my Texan education on the civil war. We spent a lot more time on the Texas Independence effort.
