Social Notes

Short posts that are often pushed to social media (a.k.a. tweets).

  • @EyeEdinburgh @Ljacksxo I’m not sure what you’re advocating for. I could read that into teaching abstinence in schools, which I don’t think is what you’re saying. 🙂 The extent of my tweet was regarding economic reforms are needed as part of a way to reduce abortions.

  • @EyeEdinburgh @ladyheatherlee @RehumanizeAimee That was handled extremely poorly. The archbishop erred quite a bit with a lot of disagreement on what happened there, including from the Vatican. It was a horrible situation that I think taking any legalistic POV on is totally missing the point.

  • @EyeEdinburgh @Ljacksxo There’s been a lot of conversation, but please continue to tell me what I’m thinking. You’re projecting what you think I’m thinking a ton, so I’m happy to sit back and let you reveal what’s in my mind.

  • @EyeEdinburgh @ladyheatherlee @RehumanizeAimee It’s nuanced. The church holds that the life of the child is not preferred over the life of the mother. A simple example is an ectopic pregnancy. You can’t save both and the only way to save the mother is the secondary result of ending the pregnancy.

  • @TradCathKing @BobbieWilsonTX I’m not pushing birth control. I don’t think it is the government’s role to police it based on our morality. Likewise, I don’t think it is the government’s role to ensure no work happens on the Sabbath. Doesn’t mean I’m pushing making Sunday a workday.

  • @jeremyfelt @rmccue @ryandonsullivan @tollmanz @rzen Highlight-the-letter: if you sit there frozen, sweat dripping down your forehead, unable to even guess at a word long enough, the Cladder overlord will take pity on you and flash the letter than is supposed to be different.
