While today is international Labor Day, it is the feast of St. Joseph the Worker in the Church. It’s a reminder that Joseph—and Jesus before his ministry—were both “just” carpenters. Human work, however “common”, can be sanctified, offered to God, and is the backbone of society.

This makes sense to me. I’ve never thought that any of my Jewish friends really thought a lot about Jesus. Jews at the time of Jesus? Sure, some of them cared but that’s been a couple thousand years. twitter.com/RabbiHarvey/st…
