  • @AardvarkSagus Mastodon could be that. It’s completely decentralized, as in it is all open-source and anyone can setup their own instance. You can communicate with anyone on any instance. The work needed to set up a self-hosted is enough that most people will probably still go to a provider.

  • @fatherandrew Twitter Blue (the $3/month service) has a delayed tweet option where, after you click send, you have a setting-based option for how long you have to delete/edit before it actually posts the tweet.
