Social Notes

Short posts that are often pushed to social media (a.k.a. tweets).

  • I read Onward by @Starbucks then- and again-CEO Howard Schultz. It left me (by design) with a favorable view of Sbux and I’ve been a consistent customer. Their anti-@SBWorkersUnited campaign has soured me quite a bit. I’ve been going less. Grabbing coffee other places more.

  • @gravatt I really curious how it plays out re the $2B in debt that Reedy Creek has that would go to the counties (I think?) and the legal argument that the district’s voters are supposed to have the power of dissolution.

  • @FGOABORG I don’t really have an opinion on billboards but I really dislike the digital ones I’ve seen (mainly too damn bright at night). It also makes sense why some in odd locations will never be taken down.

  • @ChrisWiegman Typo in this re *may not* modify but. twitter.com/Kraft/status/1…

  • For y’all that don’t love SCOTUS days and live in #AustinTx, the Court ruled in favor of Austin’s decision to deny billboard operators their request to digitize their signs. There were some unanswered questions so the case was sent back to the lower courts, so not over.

  • “that ball is hitting the grass like a Willie Nelson tour bus”. I’m 💀 twitter.com/joey_zana/stat…
