@pat_ramsey @scottkclark To add, the *appraised* value increases to whatever they say it is worth, but for homestead the *taxed* value is locked to ≤10% per year. With the numbers out today, my taxed value will increase 10%/year for the next ~4 years if value says the same.

@chrisfromthelc I bought at $460 in 2010. It was valued at $800k last year. It’s at 1.2M today. I don’t want to calculate what the tax will look like yet. Just can’t yet.

@KState_Rob TX says the appraisal should be market but the taxable value can only increase 10% per year. 3% looks a hell of a lot better right now. I am virtually never jealous of Florida, so mark this day in the calendar.
